Growing up, my mom would call me "Bamba", which is short for Bambina (baby girl). "Ko" means "my" in Tagalog. Put it together and you get Bambako, a handcrafted hair accessories company, which was my baby once upon a time.
Bambako quickly grew from an online retail store to a wholesale business. There was lots of love thrown around—most notably from Nylon, Teen Vogue, Glamour, and Daily Candy.
But my passion for intricately crafting each accessory and interacting with customers, led me to craft fairs and the wonderful handmade community; I ditched the aggressive retail world to connect on a personal level though local fairs for the last couple of years.
